Folks were pretty ambivalent about this lovely sheer cotton Italian blouse last week. Do you like it better the way that I've styled it? Blouse by Coast; trousers by Banana Republic.

I decided to try something a little more loose and natural (unstraightened and mostly unrestrained!) with my hair. What do you think?

Elle Croft Stunning! And great with this more casual shirt too...
shoephoria It looks gorgeous. As long as you have no frizz, wavy hair is beautiful and a much more feminine look, in my opinion, than straight!
Okay! I took all of your great advice and sold my old stuff at Buffalo Exchange. This is what I got in trade. What do you think? Coach gold bag. Please tell me it is not obviously Coach. I thought that it went nicely with the shoes.

Holyhcojeans not cute
testing123 I wouldn't have guessed it was Coach. I'm impressed that you found a recent Coach bag in leather - I thought they'd completely switched over to nylon canvas.
Okay! I took all of your great advice and sold my old stuff at Buffalo Exchange. This is what I got in trade. What do you think? Banana Republic gray wool pique trousers and Kenzie black silk bateau top.

missm These pants are fantastic and the top is a nice take on simple black. Well done!
hujin_zhhy i hate it
Okay! I took all of your great advice and sold my old stuff at Buffalo Exchange. This is what I got in trade. What do you think? Banana Republic black silk top and gray Banana Republic herringbone trousers.

sweetgurltin love the top.. so sexy
testing123 I love the top! Your bad girl side has come out and it's fabulous!
Okay! I took all of your great advice and sold my old stuff at Buffalo Exchange. This is what I got in trade. What do you think? J Vincent gold pumps. Would they look good with my Bordeaux LA dress (the cream one)?

katieskloset The ankle strap cuts off your leg.
The Queen of Non Sequiturs @Cara We sometimes go salsa dancing, but we're kind of awful. But, you're right, these would be great for salsa. They're quite comfortable.
Okay! I took all of your great advice and sold my old stuff at Buffalo Exchange. This is what I got in trade. What do you think? Banana Republic dark blue boot cut jeans (not really a skinny lovin' girl).

Jaclyn Eve they look great! you cant go wrong with dark wash denim!
The Queen of Non Sequiturs @Dolphin Thanks!!! I do own skinnies; I just always feel like I'm wearing sausage casings, lol. :)
I got this thrifting today ($10), and the tag has been cut out, but it's very well made of a sumptuous wool/silk blend. It's asymmetrical in the lapels and has shoulder pads. Is it too severe for me? PS: I just discovered that this is Armani!
missangelina what a great find! $10 bucks!! SCORE!
omidme2 Love this jacket, great cut!!!
Vintage union made worsted wool twill pencil skirt $2.99; silk Talbots shell $3.50; my own Ralph Lauren skinny belt. What do you think?

missangelina I want you to do MY shopping too!!
blaze I think I want you to do all MY shopping!
Another gift from my darling husband (for his birthday, lol). Not really my usual style . . . What do you think? Does it suit me, or is it better suited to someone else? It's by Bordeaux LA, and I've tried to get a better photo of the beading.

FoodiewithFashion Love it! it's a sophisticated greek goddess in the 21st century. haha great!
TalkDesignerToMe A bit plain.
Is this too dated? Banana Republic; a few years old; sheer silk georgette over a camisole; remains in great shape.
♥ 15 Love it
TalkDesignerToMe It's a bit childish, but you could pull it off, depending on what you paired it with.
easypeasy Certainly not my style, so I'm a bit biased, but if that's the kind of stuff you're into, even I have to admit that it look great.
I always wear this blouse with this silk shantung skirt from Talbots. Can you think of anything that might look better, more original? And don't even think of putting me off the skirt. I love it and always will. ;)

TalkDesignerToMe A light blue turtleneck would be fabulous.
designonadime A blue shirt and colored heels :)
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous tailoring fees, or take arms against ever-changing hemlines . . . Thrifted TSE cashmere skirt; Banana Republic blouse; Antonio Melani shoes.
♥ 11 Love it
TalkDesignerToMe The length you're holding it at is perfect.
jessa2525 Keep the length - it's more versatile that way
I bought this on a thrifting trip with my clever mother, who thought it would fit me like a glove -- and it did. However, it's made of (gasp!) polyester. Knowing that, is this vintage maxi dress chic or eek?
angel_ka91 don t like it
FLavan Try adding a wide belt to make it look like a maxi-skirt and top combo - like Miranda Kerr: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_oq2tNF93Gdc/S8RkPpodu-I/AAAAAAAAICc/2O7nF-j6W2I/s1600/miranda+kerr+maxi+skirt.jpg
