Ignore the make-up, it was for an Egyptian themed fancy dress party (so WAY too sparkly!)

Marcieb21 I think that this wrap is making you look a little bigger than you actually are, it really does shorten you. i'm sorry
FLavan PS froofroo - I'm not interested in cutting my hair or getting bangs. It's messy in this photo because it was taken after I came home from a party (and I didn't re-do it)
Which is better - long or short? Or should I try something else? I'd also like some shoe suggestions...

MadzXox I like the shorter coat... it accentuates your slim waist. Shorten the dress to knee length/just above the knee and pair with cute ballet flats/hot heels :)
FLavan I actually need to have the dress taken in (it's too big for me) and was thinking of having it hemmed to the knee. I don't really want to go to the trouble though if I don't have anything to wear it with!
I like this jacket with this top, but I'm not sure about the pants. Any other suggestions? What about shoes too?

ac2lud Take out the jacket and you'll look just fine. A biege or neautral colored shoe is not bad either.
MadzXox I don't love the jacket coz its a bit bungy at the sleeves, but the studs look cool with the floral. Definitely wear skinny jeans in black/navy and black pumps.
Okay - I've added some pics of me wearing it. Apologies for the poor quality - steam on the mirror!

ac2lud I know that you like this jacket perhaps of the details but, consider the arm length. It's not proportionate - remember dressing up is about proportion too. Buy something similar but your size.
MadzXox Not loving the jacket... it's a bit bunchy at the sleeves. The dress is okay, but wear it with a belt above the waist and hem it too knee length/just above the knee. A blazer would probably go better than the jacket.

MadzXox I think all your hair needs is some volume! Blow drying your hair with rollers should do the trick. A side or blunt fringe would also suit you... and even some highlights!
color alice woods bangs!
I love these Jill Sander shoes (1st pic)...where can I get some similar ones (same colour and height with ankle strap)online or in Australia? What do you think of the Tony Bianco ones (2nd pic)?

CaliFashion LOVE the 2nd pair of shoes. 1st ones=ehh.
FLavan I haven't been to DJs lately - maybe I should try there - but it's so hard to find Navy shoes anywhere!
I love this shawl (with snood) that my sister-in-law made me, but I'm wondering what else I can wear it with so that I don't look like a granny...

missmarybrave I think it looks great in the pictures. I would wear something lighter than it is, maybe a dress that is the same color as that undershirt, that goes a few inches above the knees w/black leggings
christina4242 I'd say a black knee-length dress, and boots. Heeled boots. Good luck!
I don't have any "new" looks at the moment, so I'm just finding random photos from my computer and loading them up!

leahxlittle I don't like the flowers on both sides, you could bring your bangs more to one side or the other and put the flowers there too. <3
Dnilla Flowers on just one side, maybe have them wrap to the bun in a sweep. Try softening the front a bit, maybe just a little less manicured.
I ususally wear it with a black dress, tights, boots and the red coat (hanging on the back of the chair). What else would it look good with?
