Polka dot silk top, wool and lace skirt, black opaque tights, headband, some jewelry. For work (I'm a TA/office assistant in college and dress code is business casual).

Black satin pencil skirt, green tank, black cropped blazer with pin, black opaque tights (it's cold here), pearl necklace & earrings. Yup I'm addicted to black.

opalfire "Satin" and "work" are not two words I normally put together. That skirt is better for a night out, plus I can only imagine how rumpled it will look after you've been sitting at a desk all day.

Thigh highs
What can I wear thigh high socks with? I want to look cute, sexy and casual but not slutty. It's a huge trend right now and I was thinking of getting some plain black ones or maybe feather gray or argyle.

Would this work for New Years?
Black sequin top, high waisted skirt & belt. Planning on wearing with black tights & pumps. Not sure if this works. Btw the skirt's pattern is hard to see so check out the other pic. (Yes, I know the skirt's short.)

redrabbit Way too much black-- NYE is about bright colors, sparkle, champagne and celebration. Add some sparkle! The top is a nice start, but you need some brightness and color!

Wore this to class yesterday (I'm in college). Ivory all-lace shirt with white tank underneath, dark jeans, knee-length black leather boots, scarf, headband and black belted pea-coat (not included in this pic). Sorry for the bad quality!

ella try a warmer eye makeup shade - your hair is a warm shade and you want to compliment that (grey is too cool of a shade for your hair color, especially when wearing ivory or white). Love your scarf - can wear it with a camel coat as well.
