    Try a more natural color, like pink, for a better look. Also, it is vital to clean up the edges, if you want to wear polish. It really looks bad when the paint is on your fingers.

    Maybe white instead of red, or a silver metallic.

    I'd go with a less bold color instead of red. Black and red together like that makes the red, which is usually cute, look like blood. Maybe a pastel? Or something a little darker but not as bright as the red
