Flips flops are not sexy, and I come from a country where they're considered a national icon. A pair of cute wedges would dress it up.

i don't know what college you go to, but be original. flips flops arent in style unless your at the beach or throwing on clothes for a long day of classes. going out should be the time to express yourself!

For a dance, try a sundress and definitely keep the flip flops. Flip flops make your legs look long!

This is in no way sexy. It looks like something a middle schooler would wear. I don't recommend this for a dance or anything for that matter.

I don't know why you keep grouping all college girls together but no not all college girls wear flip flops everyday. Girls like to mix it up. Boots, flats, wedges, pumps, even platforms sometimes. Stop generalizing all of us.

I am a college student who also lives in California! For parties, you can either go for the casual look which is tank tops and micro shorts with flip flops. If it is more dressy, wear a bandage dress with flip flops. Either way, have fun!

Winter college dance? Or did u mean high school? Went 2 college 7 years & don't remember any dances...regardless, this works if your going to the pool- that's about it. Flip flops n feb just don't work & a dance typically would suggest putting on a dress

Wait, really? This is way too casual for a dance! Plus, flip-flops to dance in? No, I think you would look adorable in a fun, casual dress and flats.

also get a big bright colored handbag instead of backpack and you'll look more mature in a good wAy!

a bit too summery. I'd do bootleg jeans and wedge or platform open toe shoes, and a flowy top- would be much more transitional.
