    The skirt is a little bit too high to be a skirt yet a little bit too low to be a dress. Such a piece can be very hard to work into a wardrobe.

    @seitura - True, I think this skirt is going to be donated to a local charity. Save space in my closet for more useful pieces.

    Honestly you should really just not wear this dress. But if you're determined, I think a short cap sleeve top, possibly with bib type collar. It doesn't necessarily need to be white or all white. I think if you're going to wear this dress you really need

    @Melissa Clark - Perhaps I should donate this dress to my local charity and go with a more traditional dress .... thank you for the constructive advice.

    I think it looks too bulky at the top with the buttons, straps, and all of that loose long-sleeved fabric stuffed into it. A slimmer fit short-sleeved shirt would look better.

    @Maven - Hmm, I don't want to look bulky! If I change to a slim fit short sleeve shirt, should I change the color of my tights as well?
