i think a less severe topknot (i.e. not too tight) could really compliment the chicness of this dress

I think this hairstyle with a more subtle version of the makeup would look really nice on you, and it would show off your dress! http://www.hji.co.uk/blogs/assets_c/2012/01/Emma%20Stone-thumb-468x366-150332.jpg

You should wear your hair up because when you're dancing guys don't want to get hit with your hair. Do a braid of some sort.

As to makeup, less is more on young faces. It just is. Not sure you've ever posted a straight on face picture of yourself, but I'm sure your face needs no embellishments, either.

@malnatik9 I hate getting comments on looks rather than what I'm actually asking about, so I avoid photos of my face. I'm a redhead with blue eyes, so I'm thinking just a soft gold/brown smokey cat eye?

@aly_x3 You're a smart girl, & I'm sure you'll look good in whatever you decide to do. I'm always going to say less is more, because I believe it, & every male I know believes it, too. Go EASY - He doesn't want to wear it home : )

@malnatik9 Thanks for all the advice! And trust me, I won't overdo the makeup. I only wear mascara and powder everyday, so I'd feel uncomfortable wearing a lot.

I know you want to show off the bow, but 2 reasons to wear the hair down: 1) Boys like long hair. 2) You're gonna get sweaty dancing, & you're leaving him no place to put his hand on slow dances.

@malnatik9 Aw I didn't think of the second thing. :( Now I have to rethink everything but thanks for the advice!

A high, pin-straight ponytail would look great with the bow, and you could put it over your shoulder to show off the back of the dress in pictures. Also a pony is very practical and will hold up. I'd say neutral makeup, smokey browns and glossy lips. LOVE

I think you it will look beautiful with a lose bun, or since you have long hair you can pull it all back in a tight pony tail it would also look really pretty! Btw the dress is beautiful!

@A_in_L.A., CA Aw thank you! Any hair or makeup styles you would suggest to go with it?

The rating might be covering this in the picture, but the dress has an open back with a long bow, so I can't just have my hair down in the back.. I'll take any ideas! Remember that I have very long hair!
