Ok. Not a fan of the midriff. Not a fan of brown/blank combo... That always throws me. My advice would be wear a different skirt in a different color, I'd go with an A-line cut. Or change the boots for wedges & a lighter colored top, preferably close

@ LongLiveTheQueen Thank you for your advice. I see a lot of people suggesting I change the colors. What color A-line skirt are you suggesting and what color wedge boots are you suggesting?

@franne I like how the brown skirt contrasts the black boots and vice versa so I am not in black from my neck down. These boots are super comfortable and I like how they add style and confidence to my wardrobe. I am likely going to wear them until the end

@ecooke (cont) of June or early July. I think they would look so cute with my bolder color dresses, don't you?

@A_in_L.A., CA Thanks! I didn't think colored tights would fit in at an office so well. I'm not sure about suntan tights with these boots though.

@A_in_L.A., CA May I ask what type of clothes you like to wear for work? I would love to compare styles with corporate California to the northern states :)

Try different boots, and switch up the turtle neck for a plain black shirt with a different cut or a cute cream or black sweater. With a shirt maybe try a blazer or tweed.

@andchka Interesting scenario. Are you suggesting I wear a sweater over the black shirt? If so, what style of sweater? Also, what style of shoe are you suggesting?

@A_in_L.A., CA Boots are never appropriate for the office. That skirt is not good either. If it is casual, a pair of skinny jeans and sandals is what everyone wears along with a nice cardigan or blouse.

@conti4 Thank you for the advice but I feel that skinny jeans and sandals are a bit too casual. I prefer to go for something more stylish which is why I like the skirt with tights and boots look.

@A_in_L.A., CA I like your idea of a pop of color with a leather jacket. That would really add some serious style to this outfit! There seems to be very little advice on what color tights go with what on this website, so i guess I will stick to black sinc

@A_in_L.A., CA Greaet to know! As the weather turns warmer, I was hoping to keep the boots and tights but swap the heavy sweater for more summery dresses and skirts. There seem to be so many pastel colored dresses in stores for the spring that I want!

@franne Do the boots not go with the tights and skirt well? I LOVE these boots and was hoping I could wear them with all my work skirts and tights. Is there a way I can incorporate these boots into this outfit better?

@A_in_L.A., CA Do you also like houndstooth skirts? I love them!!! You also mentioned floral bottoms, what type of floral bottoms are you suggesting? Pencil skirts? A-line skirts? ...... Btw, I love your advice!!!

@A_in_L.A., CA Black boots and black tights should be compatible with any color sweaters, even bright colors, right? Do you think they would be okay with sleeveless sweaters or thin white blouses as well when the weather turns warmer?

@A_in_L.A., CA - Thanks for the fast response. I LOVE how great these dress boots and plan to wear them to work for the next few months. Is there a way I can incorporate them with the brighter color sweaters you recommended?

@A_in_L.A., CA You did mention some interesting, brighter color tops with this skirt and I am intrigued by your ideas. But in your opinion, would such bright color sweaters to with a brown skirt, sheer tights and black boots or would I need to go with dif

@A_in_L.A., CA - I like the idea of switching up the color of the skirt but would a peach skirt go with the sweater and boots?
