Hmm I wouldn't call high heel boots classy.. Especially how you paired them here. I like the outfit nonetheless though.

No I'd only wear pants containing spandex with a long blouse or tunic.

@tangerine88 - The good thing about this pair of jeans is that they are made of a slightly stretchy denim material, so while it is not spandex, it is still comfortable.

Crumpled shirts, faded jeans and crinkled leather boots make it look like you don't care about appearance. Iron the plaid shirt, lose the white shirt and lose the boots. Everybody in the fashion capital of New York is wearing flip flops, you should too.

@NYCmichelle - You are right, flip flops do seem very popular in New York but I am trying to go against the trend and am going for a classier look.

Iron the plaid shirt and tuck it in. Sloppy and casual is not the same. No hooker boots, the proper way is to wear jeans with flip flops.

@Ladejo - I know the wrinkled plaid, I just woke up and put on this shirt is a a hit and miss look but you also don't like these boots? I love these boots and how cute they look.

@franne - These plaid shirts were meant to be worn wrinkled. Stores like H&M have these shirts on display on their mannequins wrinkled which is why I kept that look. Open buttons on the front of the shirt looks great, I totally agree with that.

I the bottom should be at least partially covered in tight stretchy pants (even one this nice).

@tangerine88 - Do you mean the bottom of my shirt should be tucked into my jeans?

@Ninjacat - Thanks! Glad to see my attempt at layering the white tank with the plaid shirt isn't a disaster :)

I'd keep the bottom half, but pair it with a dressier top that has some volume on top

@Shannon - You make a good point, do you think a solid white V-neck blouse would go better with the jeans & boots?

I am putting my foot down on this flip flop trend--great for junior high, not great for adults. I like the jeans and boots, but not with this casual of a top

@Shannon - Thank you! I love how skinny jeans goes with a nice pair of character boots :)

This outfit is just wrong. Plaid shirt is wrinkled. Solution is to iron it. White shirt sticking out of plaid shirt. Solution is to tuck in white shirt. Skinny jeans don't go with heels. Solution is to wear flip flops.

@bolow - The plaid shirt is wrinkled because it is part of the casual look, as if I just tossed on a shirt for a casual day.
